Willmer Construction: a website built around the phone call
A phone-first website for a Livingston remodeling contractor with 28 years in the trade.
The problem
Willmer Sarmiento owns Willmer Construction in Livingston. He's my neighbor. The business has been trading since 1998, bonded and insured, with $2 million in general liability coverage.
The business had the experience. The website needed to make it visible, and give someone a working way to get in touch.
What I built
- Eight service pages. Kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, additions and new builds, outdoor living, flooring and tile, custom carpentry, roofing, and whole-home renovations. Each trade gets its own page instead of sharing one list.
- The supporting pages. Home, about, projects, reviews, service area and contact. The Google reviews appear in full on the reviews page. Excerpts elsewhere are exact quotes, not rewrites.
- A form that can't fail quietly. The quote form works as a plain form, with leads going straight to his inbox. If sending fails, it shows a “could not send” page instead of pretending it worked.
- One source for claims. Phone, hours, insurance, the one-year workmanship warranty and years in business all come from one file of owner-confirmed facts. He asked not to publish a completed-project count, so I left it out.
Built for how he actually gets work
His remodeling enquiries come by phone, not by form. I put the service area and phone number first in the header, with a sticky call bar on phones.
The service area page covers 10 towns, from Livingston down to Houston. Each gets its own note. Houston work is taken where the scope justifies the travel, not presented as though every job is next door.
The FAQ also says outright that Texas doesn't issue a statewide general-contractor license. A direct question deserves a direct answer.
In his words
“I decided to get a website for my construction business so customers could easily find my services, and see the work I do. Now that the website is up, I’m really happy with how it turned out! It gives my business a more professional presence and makes me feel good about how I present my company to potential customers. I appreciate Walter for taking the time to help bring my vision to life, and making the process so easy. I’m excited to see how the website helps my business grow. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to build or improve their online presence!”
